How We Support

CO-VID19 Update

CO-VID19 Update

We offer free education, support and advocacy opportunities. We operate by having volunteer members that help families and friends of individuals living with mental health illness learn about their illness to give them a greater understanding and support; teaching them that they are not alone. Our area of service is throughout Barron County and surrounding communities.

Feel free to send us a message on the contact page, to inquire about;

  • become a member
  • a desire to be trained to facilitate classes to be offered in the community
  • request for a presentation
  • additional information about the classes we offer
  • sign up for a class
  • support others through a donation to NAMI Barron County

CO-VID19 Update

NAMI Barron County is closely monitoring the regional impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. As it evolves, our top priority is the health and safety of our participants and volunteers. We turn to guidance from global, national and local public health experts to best prevent the spread of respiratory illness.

Unfortunately, at this time we have made the difficult decision to stop all groups, community activities until further notice.  We are not able to appropriately implement the social distancing guidelines issued by the CDC within the locations where classes or support groups were being provided.

We are however looking for solutions in finding ways to still support the six counties we serve; Barron, Polk, Washburn, Burnett, Sawyer, & Rusk. You will find changes on our website below with details when confirmed.

NAMI Tip and Resource Sheet, this includes information to help through the social distancing resources for things like bills, online support groups, how to talk about it and more. There are options      for calling, texting, email, and online.
